I am the medical director of Infectious Disease and Anal Dysplasia at Fenway Health, an LGBTQ+ focused FQHC in Boston serving approximately 2,000 patients living with HIV. I obtained a BA in Biology from Siena College and my medical degree from Albany Medical College. I completed my Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at Metro Health/Case Western Reserve University before completing an Infectious Disease Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) with a focus in HIV and High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA). During my first year as an attending physician, I attained maximal certification in HRA and ablation of high grade (precancerous) lesions by the AIDS Malignancy Consortium. I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease and am a certified HIV Specialist with the American Academy of HIV Medicine. I am one of few fully certified HRA physicians in the Northeast and during my time at Fenway Health, I have dramatically increased access to anal dysplasia care amongst those living with HIV as well as many other groups of people who are at higher risk of developing anal cancer. Over the past decade, I have ensured that Fenway Health is the largest Anal Dysplasia clinic in New England. In addition, I have created an HRA training program and have trained ID fellows interested in pursuing anal dysplasia care as part of their career development. The experience that I have gained over the past decade has helped me develop the expertise needed to not only care for patients living with HIV, hepatitis B and C viruses, and other evolving sexually transmitted infections, but recently also help lead our efforts in the care and management of SARS-CoV2 and Mpox. In addition to my clinical work, I have worked extensively in medical education and curriculum development for my primary care colleagues, ID fellows, and IM residents from BIDMC in the care of HIV, Anal Dysplasia, SARS-CoV2 and Mpox to ensure that patients in our community are receiving the optimal standard of care. Furthermore, I lecture on Anal Dysplasia screening and care regularly to local clinics and colleagues providing HIV care. I remain a passionate and ambitious healthcare leader focused on achieving organizational and patient care goals in a comprehensive, efficient, and collaborative way. I excel in effective communication and strategic thinking and enjoy working diligently in finding creative solutions. My goal is always for my organization and colleagues to be at the cusp of innovation and for my patients to receive the exceptional care that they deserve.
