Research Associate
CurrentThe Research Associate assists in the implementation of a couples-based, HIV prevention intervention study with men who have sex with men (MSM).Typical Duties include: implementing recruitment efforts that lead to study participation; conducting interviews and arranging study visits with study participants as specified by study protocol; coordinating study retention efforts; maintaining regulatory procedures; assisting in the development of study materials; and conducting pre and post-test HIV counseling and rapid testing with study participants.Additional Duties include: assisting with the publication of research findings through editing, writing, and preparation of manuscripts and conference presentations; assisting with grant writing and study progress reports as needed; maintaining current knowledge of HIV research by reading medical journals, articles and other HIV-related publications; and attending conferences, seminars, forums, trainings and other presentations pertinent to the field.
