Productivity Improvement Project: Implementation of MISSION 3000(Project name) in Assembly Area, reduces the TAKT Time from 12.85sec to 9.00sec. Productivity of Handle Bar Conveyor & sub assemblies increased by 43%.Layout Improvement: Re-layouting of whole Assembly area with the concept of single piece flow. Space Saving of 18% of Total Assembly Area Re-layouting of Bonded Area on the basis of concept of FIFO & Min-Max standardization.Line balancing: Making Line Balancing between Handle bar conveyor & its sub assemblies with the concept of single piece flow & as per the define TAKT time(12.85 sec to 9.00 sec) & increasing Line balance ratio by reducing gap of bottleneck & other processes CT. (85 manpower balanced according to TAKT time & single piece flow concept)Capacity standardization: Define Assembly lines capacity & its TAKT time & manpower after doing time study & analysis.Capacity Improvement: Identification of Bottlenecks in entire production chain, bringing out Improvement and consideration of Losses in lines & reduction of them, Process Improvement.Manpower reduction: Manpower reductions by in-house LCA, work standardization & utilization of idle time of operators. Reduced Manpower from 96 to 85. Material Handling Improvement: Improved Handle bar trolley design, increased the capacity by 33% per Trolley. (Capacity increased from 45/Trolley to 60/Trolley), defining the frequency & capacity of material from store to assembly area.Workstation design & Maintenance: In house ergonomically design workstations to reduce the fatigue of operators & maintenance work to meet lines target without any loss. 5S: • Training to operators to make them aware of 5S.• Zone owner of 5B for maintaining 5S.
