Andrew is a proven innovator in the areas of data warehousing, information security, and software engineering. He has over 15 years of experience across the private sector, academia and the open source community.He graduated from the nationally ranked Georgia Institute of Technology with a Masters Degree in Computer Science specializing in Computing Systems. During his studies he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in High Performance Computing and Network Security. After graduation, he was offered the rare opportunity to return as a Lecturer in the College of Computing focusing on High Performance Computing.He previously graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science where he excelled as one of the top students in the program. His senior project involved successfully building a data warehouse from scratch with just PHP. During that time he was also the Co-Principal Investigator on a research project that resulted in papers being published and the university receiving grants.He currently works at Allstate Insurance Company as an Engineering Manager in the Agency Pay group. This involves collaborating on, designing, and implementing products across the agency compensation and analytics space.Outside of work and teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family and staying active in his college fraternity.
