I began my career in Learning and Development working for Yorkshire Regional Health Authority a very long time ago when I set up and ran a Learning Resource Centre and introduced everyone in the organisation to the concept of using a mouse and working with Microsoft Office. In 1995 I became self employed and for the next fourteen years worked in a freelance capacity, delivering Learning and Development solutions with an IS focus to a huge range of NHS and other public sector organisations. In 2009 I joined the NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre as IT Training Manager and led a nationally cascaded training programme to support the use of IS systems which support Clinical Research. Now part of the Workforce and Learning team in the NIHR CRN, I manage our online learning platform that provides e-learning to 45000 learners every year.
