Started off as a front-end app developer for an ophthalmic instrumentation device for glaucoma monitoring utilizing Android Studio, Bluetooth, and Arduino. Project concluded in summer of 2019. From October 2019 to June 2021, worked as a machine learning researcher (team lead) on early detection methods for corneal graft rejections in post Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) surgery. This was done in collaboration with Netherlands Institute For Innovative Ocular Surgery (NIIOS), which provided domain expertise on the subject in addition to a small dataset of anonymous endothelial images from previously classified DMEK patients. Research focused on various classification and time-series models, including clustering and SVMs, image segmentation and feature extraction, graphical analysis, and deep learning, particularly transfer learning on the VGG16 CNN. Research was then repackaged into a web application that allowed users, particularly NIIOS physicians, to analyze new DMEK patients for potential graft rejection using the research methods cultivated.

Part of program's faculty that was responsible for the academic and social mentorship of incoming engineering admits with little exposure to computer science. Tutored/graded Python programming assignments, and mentored 15 Machine Learning projects.

Consolidated and redesigned text-based error reports into a single dynamic web application for an HMI tool, thereby significantly improving its readability, organization, and user interface for internal engineers.
