As a student at Clemson University's Honors College, I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Science, with a minor in sustainability. In my time at Clemson, I have gained a wide range of experience in the field through various projects and activities. One of my notable experiences was my involvement in the Analysis of an Automated Fulfillment Center for Grocery Distribution. During this project, I had the opportunity to work alongside a Graduate Student to evaluate the justification, manufacturers, users, and sustainability surrounding warehouse automation. In addition, I am a member of the Packaging Science Club at Clemson, where I have had the opportunity to network with companies all over the United States and other students in the field of packaging science.I have also been involved in research projects at Clemson, including working with a class to create two booths exhibited at Pack Expo demonstrating ongoing sustainability and triboelectricity research, and participating in studies surrounding the effects of different pesticides on different fruits and the protection it provides. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have also held several professional and volunteer positions. I served as the Clemson Makerspace Secretary, where I managed and operated the Watt Family Center location by maintaining an efficient workflow and prioritizing the safety of all users. In this role, I had the opportunity to train and educate individuals of diverse backgrounds on equipment such as 3D printers, Laser Cutters, CNC Machines, and 3D Scanner. I also kept accurate minutes and records of all meetings and maintained an updated list of members and contact information. I also worked closely with a team of 4 to find innovative organizational solutions for materials of varying hazard standards.I have also volunteered my time in the past, including with Hurricane Matthew Disaster Relief, where I volunteered 40 hours over the course of a week to help restore homes destroyed by hurricanes. I have also worked with Habitat for Humanity, constructing a house to give to a needy family in the community. In addition, I have served as a first responder on Lake Michigan.I am also involved in a number of affiliations and awards including Beta Upsilon Chi Fraternity, where I have held positions as the Assistant Pledge Captain & Academic Chair. I have also been recognized for my academic achievements, being named to the Clemson Dean's List from 2021 to 2022 and the President's List in Fall 2022.
