I am a Reading Specialist and debate coach working in Chester County Pennsylvania. I am passionate about helping students to advocate and creating more accessible communities. I have presented at numerous conferences and have designed and implemented professional development resources for a variety of topics including: coaching speech and debate, differentiated instruction in the classroom, and teaching self advocacy in the classroom. In addition, I have developed professional development course content and presented on strategies that educators can use to incorporate perspective taking and evidence-based argumentation. In the classroom, I have experience in traditional brick and mortar settings, as well as with virtual classes taught in synchronous and asynchronous environments. I utilize innovative ways to integrate technology with curriculum in order to improve accessibility. Within Speech and Debate, I have received a Diamond Award and multiple Distinguished Service Awards from the National Speech and Debate Association. I have taught public speaking and debate classes in an international setting. I have served a member of the Public Forum Wording Committee as well as a board member of the Philadelphia chapter of NCFL. I have coached state finalists, national elimination round competitors and invitational champions in Public Forum Debate, Policy Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Parliamentary Debate, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking, and more.I am excited to work with learners at all ages and ability levels and my goal is to help them find new ways to communicate, advocate, and grow.
