Co-Founded Vital Enterprises (formerly Vital Medicals) with aim of bringing Augmented Reality and smart glasses to the operating room for surgeons and staff. Created software for allowing surgeons to monitor vital signs of patients using smart glasses without need for external monitors. Developed software to allow surgeons to live stream video to remote source for teaching or remote assistance. Application allowed for two-way audio communication and one way video transmission. Software was used in Stanford surgery and demonstrated live at the 2014 VIVA conference during a real surgical operation. Developed software to stream vital signs to iPad to allow surgical staff to monitor patients vitals from anywhere in the surgical suite. I am tasked with researching, providing recommendations and coding many first projects for most new technologies used. When a project is completed, I provide working examples, documentation, and some best practices. Technologies included Potlet 2.0 (jsr 286), JPA, EJB 3.0, Maven, Archiva, JQuery, JAX-RS, and others.

Designed and developed full-scale online bookmark management web application. Purchased and registered domain name. Designed database structure (MySQL) and SQL queries and provided connectivity using JDBC. Installed and configured domain name server using BIND9 DNS and set up Apache Tomcat as the application server. Designed and produced all artwork and graphics for the site using Macromedia Freehand (vector graphics) and Fireworks (raster graphics). Site was designed using EJB methodologies. Reusable objects were developed for common web application functions, including login, sign up, form verification and validation, security, and database connectivity. Web pages were developed using JSPs and Servlets to produce dynamic content and feedback to users. Implemented many AXAJ features for a highly dynamic experience.

Co-Founded and managed high-end stair and handrail construction business. Constructed balustrades on new construction and remodels throughout the bay area. Calculated and submitted bids, coordinated with sub-contractors and developers, hired and trained new employees, ordered supplies and materials, and oversaw budget and operating expenses.

Performed virtually every aspect of the residential building process. Knowledge of foundations, site prep, concrete and rebar, rough framing (including specialized knowledge of roof framing techniques), electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, and extensive experience in finish carpentry. Ability to read blueprints, and very good knowledge of building codes and regulations. I also have extensive experience in stair construction, including designing, framing, and handrail installation of both straight and curved staircases.
