Problem-solving ... every company needs it. Regardless of the industry, companies face similar problems with respect to management, personnel, process efficiency, growth (or lack thereof), strategy development and execution, risk-taking and other concerns — all of which ultimately affect profitability. Unfortunately, not every company has people who can solve such problems, so they continue the status quo or turn to outside consultants for help. That's not always necessary ... or cost-effective.Although I've worked in the same industry for much of my career, I'm essentially a professional problem-solver who can thrive in multiple arenas, particularly in relation to operations management, logistics and distribution. Problems are puzzles, and figuring out how all the pieces fit together as part of the bigger picture is what I do best. Whether eliminating redundant processes, using technology to automate and streamline operations, facilitating expansions or maximizing existing resources — all with the goal of improving the company's bottom line — I've done all that and more in an industry that has been rocked by tsunamis of change. I've been successful for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that I'm both a logical and a creative thinker. I also have an insatiable desire to understand how things work (or don't).
