I led on the coordination and management of the institution's quality assurance and enhancement process supporting institutional Faculties to constructively reflect on the delivery of their programme provision. I also coordinated the institution's preparations for its enhancement-led institutional review, working collaboratively with colleagues to map institutional practices against the revised UK Quality Code.I effectively managed the institutional programme approval process, supporting academic colleagues in their development of innovative programmes and providing expert advice on the movement of proposals from idea to approval. I worked constructively with professional services colleagues to enhance the programme development process to support all internal stakeholders.As a committee manager, I was responsible for supporting the work of three institutional academic committees, which were responsible for enhancing the student learning experience and assuring the academic quality and standards of the institution. I also contributed to the development of new academic policies and the institution's responses to sector-wide consultations.

Stirling

As the University of Stirling Student's Union's Democracy & Research Coordinator, I was responsible for promoting and enhancing student engagement in the democratic, political and campaigning activities of the Union. As such, I was the go-to person on all of the democratic processes of the Students' Union. I worked closely with two sabbatical officers, the Union President and VP Education, to support and develop all student representatives, from full-time sabbatical officers to course representatives. Additionally, I was responsible for analysing and reporting on our large-scale data collection exercises, and conducting research and enquiry into a wide range of relevant issues within Higher Education. In partnership with the University and members of the Union, I contributed to the reporting and development of new quality enhancement initiatives and university policies at Stirling, which engaged and represented the interests of the student community.

Developed and edited information for a large online bibliographic database. Responsible for leading a small team of co-editors, training new team members, delegating tasks to the team, and compiling each individuals' work for submission. Received renewed contracts for the quality, efficiency, and accuracy of our work.

Organised and facilitated discussion within small groups of undergraduate students. Presented complex information and themes in a concise and accessible manner. Provided academic support and advice on an individual basis. Managed complex situations, in which discretion and diplomacy were essential, and related to the course co-ordinator which regulatory policies were most applicable in each unique case.

Led a series of subject-specific tutorials tailored to mature student learners. Contributed a lecture on a specialised subject. Assessed students' work and provided detailed comments for improving their analysis and writing style. Responded flexibly and confidentially to senstitive situations.

Managed, contributed to, and edited the Scotland and the Flemish People Project blog. Maintained relationships with project funders, external contributors, and interested parties. Liaised with the second project member on necessary website upkeep.
