Responsible for the oversight of multiple benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, FSA (health & dependent), HSA, life, AD&D, tuition reimbursement benefit and paid time off accruals for 6,000 employees according to plan documents, regulatory requirements and company policies. Provides leadership and training for the Benefit Team, which includes five business professionals. Key Accomplishments:• Direct operations associated with the health and welfare, retirement, and tuition benefit programs • Ensure that benefit plans are administered in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations• Ensure that all plan filings (such as Form 5500) and audits are performed to maintain plan qualification and compliance• Partner with data intelligence/reporting staff in completion of necessary audits and other reporting requirements • Partner with the HR financial manager to ensure robust financial and budget planning for fringe benefit costing, financial projections, and reporting• Partner with members of the HR Payroll and Information Systems teams to ensure the correct setup and administration of employee benefits in the University’s enterprise HR System (Oracle) and timely disbursements to benefit vendors• Ensure the correct and timely creation delivery of required notices, plan amendments, plan documents, and other required documentation• Partner with vendors/providers and external network of experts for outsourced benefits administration services• Collaborate with the Executive Director, as well as HR internal communications and University Communications staff to create and deliver clear, concise, and correct communication materials that convey important messages and optimize impact and understanding across a wide range of audiences• Lead, develop and support a strong, effective, and respected benefits Consulting and Operations team
