Certification & Accreditation of IDE: Develop and maintain the Defense Information Assurance and Accreditation Package (DIACAP) and the Risk Management Framework as developed from the NIST standards and Guidelines for IDE obtaining three year Authority to Operate (ATO) in 2009, 2012, & 2015 from NETWARCOM. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of package artifacts including the System Information Profile (SIP) and the required systems plans Certification & Accreditation, Configuration Management, and Contingency Plans. Ensured correct implementation of all Security Controls as defined in the NIST 800-53. Work with system engineers to complete STIG requirements including Operating System, Application, and Database.Information Assurance/Risk Management: Assist the Information Assurance Officer (IAO) to ensure all Information Assurance compliance issues are kept current. This includes IAVA alerts along with other Operating System and Software patches. Verify status with weekly system Retina scan reports with NAVSEA staff and report compliance. Maintain the Plan of Action and Management (POA&M) including all Information Assurance related findings.Guide Program Manager through Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) required activities ensuring Contingency Plan Testing, Security Controls, and the Annual Security Review are conducted and recorded in DITPR-DON. Work with PM to complete the DON EA Annual review in DITPR-DON. Ensure system Ports & Protocols are registered with NETWARCOM. Support IDE Program Manager: Provide recommendations to PM regarding software status ensuring all system software is approved by the Navy for use. Prepare & present Change Control documentation when Program Manager (PM) requests changes to system state for the Architecture Change Control (ACB) approval. Review system software in DADMS for approval status; submit updates to Echelon II for software stakeholder associations.

Manage access control for privileged Users ensuring that expanded privileges for users are required and granted appropriately. Worked with users to trouble shoot issues to access Government web sites that require PKI access.
