Plan, organize work to be accomplished, establish priorities, make assignments, monitor progress in terms of timeliness and accuracy of work performed, and make temporary reassignment of employees between jobs to meet workload demands. Giving advice, counsel (informal), or instruction to subordinate personnel on work and administrative issues. Delegation of duties to staff nurses, medics and providers to meet needs of department and mission. Perform risk management assessments and evaluations to implement quality assurance and internal control activities. Serve as Supervisory Nurse, Clinical Nurse Officer in Charge (CNOIC) within the Department of Nursing or Department of Emergency Medicine. Interview, observe and perform physical examinations, with patient, family members and guardians to obtain and record vitals, chief complaints, health-issues, medications, medical history and relevant data and analyze information and data. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, prepare schedules for the completion of work, assign work to subordinates based on priorities and evaluate work performance of subordinates. Establish, review and make recommendations for efficiencies and improvements to internal nursing and administrative processes and procedures.

• Involved of caring for critically ill patients including but not limited to; ventilators, critical drips, CVP and arterial lines, pathophysiology and IV skills.• Intervening in the evaluation of the adult/pediatric patients experiencing signs and symptoms of physiologic instability that are unresolved or of concerns to the clinician providing care.• Providing direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities by responding to requests from available clinicians.• Able to independently determine and implement proper emergency measure after identifying and interpreting life-threatening condition by initiating life-saving measure.• Serve as a resource person with whom other critical care nurses and other health care providers consult when particularly difficult problems in the care of critically ill patients arise.• Administer oxygen, intravenous fluids, blood transfusions and all types of medications during emergent events to include intravenous, intraosseous, subcutaneous, intramuscular, by mouth and rectal routes.• Assist the Physician in the performance of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and other specialized procedures.• Coordinate patient referral to ancillary health care professionals, Community Health Nurse, Social Work Services, Dietitian and Physical Therapy.
