Amy Spring Email and Phone Number
I love bringing the endlessly interesting and dynamic resources that reside on a college campus to life in communities. The puzzle of figuring out how to translate complex research outcomes in ways the benefit communities is one way this work takes shape. Creating community-based experiences that serve as pathways for students who are emerging in their professions is another way to bring the resources of a campus into the larger community. I have long worked in community-university partnerships and in this work I derived great joy in connecting students and faculty to community partners that interested in accessing university talents in ways that respond to community concerns. This work creates intersections between teaching, research and community. Research is able to be applied in communities and communities are able to inform future lines of inquiry, a continuous feedback that shapes those involved.
