"Become what you are not yet." St. Augustine wrote these words over 16 centuries ago, but they remain relevant. I have been a tenured professor of English for more years than I'd like to count and I have served as an educational consultant, writing coach, reading and writing tutor, and university administrator. As I continue to become what I am not yet, I help my students and clients follow suit. Whether they wish to become A-students or Fulbright scholars, attend Oxford University or Dartmouth or Purdue, publish a book of poetry or a self-help book, or find a good match for higher education, I can mentor them on the journey towards becoming what they wish for, doing what they dream of doing.
