Specialising in Paper and Polymer applications. Design, plan and execute application testing on existing and developmental grades for customer support, customer complaints and new product developments. Method development and improvement, due to harmonisation of application testing across our manufacturing sites.Pigment and Slurry reformulation to liaise with customer requests and / or due to changing REACh regulations. Further pigment quality testing on developmental grades including dust analysis, packing fractions and dispersability. End application testing for Polymer grade pigments, including master batch compounding, single and twin screw extrusion, injection moulding, accelerated weathering, pressure filter testing and MFI. Slurry application testing for Paper grade pigments, including sedimentation testing, stability due to potential extended storage including differing climate possibilities and paper and melamine coated paper compatibility.Ongoing EHS and 'Safe Systems of Work' improvements by means of creating and maintaining COSHH and Risk Assessments; daily safety discussions including safety shares from our other sites; frequent 60 second checks and job safety observations.
