Amy Clarke is an effective and experienced leader with creative strategy and communication skills. A graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, she is a talented songwriter, musician, and artist who is also well-versed in policy, research, project management, operations, and government administration. After growing her management, market research, campaign, and branding strengths with The Washington Post and PSB Insights, LLC (formerly Penn, Schoen, & Berland) for nearly 15 years, she successfully ran for public office and served the City of Los Angeles for 3 years as an Elected Representative on the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, including as Co-Chair of the Governing Board. Now in the 8th year of her civil service career (12th in service to the City of LA overall), Amy currently serves as the Deputy Director of Operations for the City of Los Angeles' Climate Emergency Mobilization Office, in the Board of Public Works, City Hall. An ASCAP award-winning singer-songwriter, pianist, and percussionist, Amy has performed nationally at major music venues in NY and LA (Bitter End, House of Blues, Viper Room) and popular festivals, including Burning Man & Lilith. In addition to her self-produced 2006 "After The Fall" EP, her full-length original vocal, piano, and percussion album "A New Way" was released in 2017 to critical acclaim and warm reviews. Amy also has co-created numerous Gaia Grove collective concerts and cross-disciplinary events with an eclectic variety of other artists to benefit environmental non-profits. Themes of feminism, justice, sustainability, healing, and ecological preservation are threads often woven into her craft.Currently serving the City of Los Angeles in the Board of Public Works, Amy formerly served as Co-Chair of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council (May 2014-2015) and as an elected Regional and then At-Large Representative from 2012-2015.
