Journey (wejourney.co) is an impact travel collective. Journey offers 6-day impact-driven group travel experiences, dynamic enough to serve both travelers and trip leaders demanding a new kind of travel: shared experiences that are unique, immersive, and purpose-driven.In 2016, inspired by the power of in-person experiences, I cofounded Journey (wejourney.co), a public benefit corporation creating conscious travel designed to transform both the communities they visit and the travelers they engage. In two years, my team led 600 Journeyers on trips to build 150 homes, refurbish schools, work with refugees, and have mindblowing experiences that would forever change the way they viewed the world and people they thought of as "other." As a triple-bottom-line business with a very substantial 3rd (impact) bottom line, the business was not sustainable and Journey ended in summer 2018.

Change Heroes is building the world's largest community of people taking action through giving. Change Heroes raised over $4M from a community of over 15,000 users to fund homes, schools, libraries, girls scholarships, anti-sex trafficking work, clean water systems, and more, to benefit 200,00 people in 14 countries around the world. Partners included Disney, KPMG, RBC Insurance, and some of the world’s largest nonprofits including Free The Children, Partners in Health, TECHO, and the United Nations Foundation, in order to effect change where it's needed most.

Amy developed cross-sector partnerships, leads communications, produces events and campaigns, and managed projects both digital and offline for the SMF, a nonprofit dedicated to the eradication of sex trafficking and modern slavery and the empowerment of its survivors as a part of the solution. Over the past three years, Amy has aided in the organization's strategic planning and growth. Her experience also includes digital production and web, press and PR management, and initiatives on social innovation and entrepreneurship.

At this boutique consulting firm for arts and cultural facilities, Amy produced needs assessments and business plans for nonprofit organizations, venues, and performance groups nationwide. Plans included operating budgets and programming recommendations around fundraising, marketing, technology, operations, volunteer and board support, and special events.

At this nonprofit dedicated to assisting elder, established jazz musicians in need, Amy acted as second in command under the organization’s Executive Director. She directed marketing and communications, managed sponsorships and major donors, built out the Jazz in the Schools program, and developed systems for data management and operations.Amy also co-produced the annual ‘Great Night in Harlem’ dinner gala & concert at the Apollo Theater (hosted by Danny Glover and Bill Cosby and raising $1.2M to $1.8M annually) and ‘Jazz Loft Party’ (called a “mini North Sea Jazz Fest”) at Hudson Studios.
