Select accomplishments• Played key role in securing unprecedented and new streams of funding for educational and curatorial projects working with development, curatorial, and executive director (approximately 5 million) • Established digital learning team, defining two new positions: head of digital learning and innovation and director of Vital Matters digital development.• Founded digital and archival project Vital Matters/ Art. Devotion. Practice (launching fall 2024) diversifying the museum’s interpretation of collections with knowledge producers and cultural bearers in and outside of academic and curatorial spheres.• Initiated artist-educator-activist residencies in the education department• Forged new innovative partnerships at UCLA, with such entities as the Office of Advanced Research Computing, Center of Near Eastern Studies, Center of Southeast Asian Studies, and Promise Institute for Human Rights. • Co-Led practice to create digital content to create teaching resources working with Digital Library Program at Charles E. Museum Experience Lab is part of the Lifeways of Hope initiative funded by the Henry Luce Foundation. Our research consists of interviewing museum professionals, artists, animators, and others to re-think museum experiences.

ARC includes: (a) courses; (b) visits to local and regional museums; (c) introduction to a city and nation-wide network of cultural and community leaders; (d) mentorship from a community of professionals at cultural institutions; and (e) stipendiary internships and work-study opportunities that give Morgan students additional work experience and training at museums and other cultural institutions.

Director of Curatorial Affairs & 2016-2018Curator of Islamic and South & Southeast Asian ArtSelect accomplishments• Oversaw all aspects of the curatorial division and the library & archives, including the hiring of three new curators and an archivist/librarian• Led major reinstallations: Art of India, Nepal and Tibet: The John and Berthe Ford Gallery and Buddhist Art of East and Southeast Asia • Managed acquisitions budget and collaboratively defined new directions for collection growth with curators, educators, and senior leadership• Modeled ways to co-curate across departments and expertise for Japanese Woodblock Prints: The Art of Collaboration (2018-19) and Gérôme and His Circle: Travel, Art, and Business in the Middle East (2015-16) Associate Curator of Islamic and South Asian Art 2013-2016 Select accomplishments• Curated the international loan exhibition Pearls on a String: Artist, Patron and Poet at the Great Islamic Courts (Walters and Asian Art Museum, San Francisco, 2015-2016) and worked with development to raise over $1,000,000 for this exhibition and book project which was awarded implementation grants by NEH, NEA, and IMLS. • Led an international group of scholars from China, Europe, Middle East and America to collaboratively research and write for the book project Pearls on a String• Served as lead curator Threshold to the Sacred: The Ark Door of Egypt’s Ben Ezra Synagogue, shared between Walters and Yeshiva University Museum, New York (2013-14), which featured conservation science information, Cairo Geniza documents, medieval works of art and photography.
