• Schedule and conduct Post Approval Monitoring (PAM) visits to research laboratories and teaching courses to monitor procedures conducted on animals performed by research personnel, instructors and students.
• Assure that performed procedures concur with approved IACUC protocol guidelines.
• Prepare detailed report of PAM findings, conclusions and submit to IACUC Chair and Attending Veterinarian.
• Verify that federal record keeping requirements are maintained in research laboratories.
• Assist investigators in correcting any deficiencies found during PAM visit.
• Participate in the inspection of WSU animal facilities and research laboratories semi-annually to assure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations according to the Guide for Care and Use of Laboratory.
