I got into buying because of my love for running. I started working at our local running store and became the footwear buyer. I worked 5 years as the footwear buyer but decided I wanted an industry change. Being in Seattle brings a lot of tech companies which sparked my interest. I found an amazing company called Tableau to become an indirect buyer. I started by working on the marketing departments purchase requisitions. As time went on I was promoted to Senior buyer where I took on the largest marketing events in the company. I also oversaw the end-to-end PO process for many different departments throughout the company.Having served in roles such as Senior Buyer and Manager Footwear Buyer, I am accustomed to the rigors of fast-paced environments requiring sharp attention to detail, consummate accuracy, and outstanding communication skills. I have a well-rounded understanding of supply chain management with transferrable experiences in strategic procurement, marketing, reviewing contracts, and building critical business relationships.
