Developing exclusive and proprietary products, providing creative direction on photography and layout for the catalog, negotiating costs, managing inventory, and working with direct import suppliers is a part of my day to day.

Responsible for buying solution-based, health, safety and ailment specific product for the Easy Comforts catalog and website in the household, bedroom, bathroom, office, hobby, automotive and outdoor categories. Negotiating to meet margin expectations, exceeding demand goals, and managing inventory are daily tasks. Branding, research, and idea generation is also an intrical part of my day to day at Miles Kimball Company.

Responsible for the set up of the fiscal year budget and sales forecast and maintenance of the active financial and operational forecast. Also responsible for offer, source code, target and postage and handling schedule set up within ERP system. A member or multiple re-branding initiatives, customer research projects, and Junction Business Intelligence tool team lead.

This position included a number of projects including creating and publishing sales newsletter and product literature, preparing for and attending industry trade shows, providing internal and external sales support, creating corporate PowerPoint’s for sales training conferences, and customer presentations and updating Shallbetter’s Web site. I also wrote and distributed press releases, and assisted in the hiring and training of four marketing interns.

I was the editor and publisher of the Alumni Connection, a quarterly newsletter to alumni, conducted interviews for feature stories, wrote press releases for the College of Business, and developed event programs for alumni and college events.
