Ana qualified as an Architect from the Polytechnical University of Madrid in 2013, and has more than nine years experience working in the UK. She has been involved in a number of Knight Architects’ bridges and infrastructure projects and understands the importance of good design in extremely sensitive locations. She appreciates that careful attention must be taken at a variety of scales - from master planning to detailing. She has enjoyed the opportunity of working in the sensitive environment of Taplow, Maidenhead, designing a footbridge over the Thames. Additionally, her work within delicate environments has also focused on the design of the awards winning Knostrop Footbridge over an existing weir for Leeds City Council and she has also led key aspects of other Knight Architects designs.Ana has enjoyed the opportunity to develop her leadership skills and encourages her teams to focus on delivering appropriate and thoughtful designs, through a clear understanding of the constraints and close collaboration with clients and engineers. Since 2016, she has been a member of KA Management team in which she takes an active role in the day to day decisions of the company. In 2018 Ana joined a team of engineers and architects to build a 70m suspended footbridge in Rwanda, for the charity 'Bridges to Prosperity'. This remarkable project aimed at drastically improving the quality of life and safety of local communities in immediate need.
