I interned at Hurricane Valley farm to help "maintain the farm as a productive, clean, and welcoming community space." My work mostly consisted of completing a list of tasks each week. Weekly tasks (individual and group responsibilities): - Helping care for seedlings in our greenhouse- Helping farmers and community gardeners with their fields; including weeding, planting, harvesting, trellising, and carrying vegetables- Sourcing, loading, and unloading garden materials; including leaves and cardboard- Weeding and mulching growing spaces, including pathways, fences, under orchard trees, and other shared spaces- Weed-whacking around farm- Monitoring and helping to feed and water chickens and other livestock- Cleaning up and collecting trash around farm sites- Occasional office organization and other indoor projects
