The theme of this work is controversial: some authors refer that the Toyota Pruduction System philosophy is favorable to workers’ involvement on continuous improvement process by the work conditions it provides, while others says that working under this philosophy is stressful and monotonous. It is imperative to provide conditions for workers to become motivated and to involve themselves. To motivate workers it is essential that they understand the organization, the process and products and all the people. To create conditions for workers to feel satisfied and motivated it is necessary to understand what deviates the workers’ attention from the continuous improvement.
