I like tech! That is the core of who I am and the passion that drives my development. Ever since I can remember, I have been fixated on destroying and repairing gadgets, working on computers, playing video games, and messing with anything that went "beep" or "boop." I was lucky enough that when I was in high school, I had access to a premier computer lab way beyond anything else in the Chicago-land area. It was there I was finally able to turn my "hobby" into a skill. I turned my interest into a computer engineering degree and that into a law degree where I prosecuted patents for tech companies and research institutes. I gained of lot of knowledge in those years, about how business works and how to understand a truly inventive approach versus a derivative idea. It's these experiences that have provided me the tools to view the world in a different way.Fast forward to today and I lead PwC's Emerging Technology Research team where it's my job to not only understand technology but to see how these technologies converge with one another. I help companies understand where technology is going and when it is right to make a move. I do not pretend that I can predict the future, but my knowledge, background, and understanding of tech uniquely qualifies me to stitch together ideas and experiences using emerging technology that are not readily apparent to others. I understand user experience, infrastructure, and the components needed to make that happen.Above all, I'm a tech guy. I get up in the morning and I read blogs, aggregators, articles about tech when others are watching the morning news. It's the DNA of who I am. It's sort of cool!
