Andre Phillips has been actively engaged in policy development, analysis and policy implementation and recruitment for over two decades. He has served government at national and sub-national level, non-governmental organizations and businesses through employment and consulting assignments. He is noted for successful execution of several assignments as Principal Consultant of Business Facilitation Centre, a training and consulting firm he established in 2001. In this capacity, he coordinated numerous training interventions for clients in the public sector and spearheaded consultancy assignments for Tobago House of Assembly that addressed tourism, health services, agriculture, education, youth and community development. In academia Andre Phillips has built his research agenda around diaspora and tourism leading to the award of a doctoral degree in business administration. His first scholarly article titled - New Imperatives for Diaspora Engagement in the Caribbean - is published with University of Guyana Press.Andre Phillips has also utilized his expertise in recruitment gained through active engagements on behalf of state agencies in Trinidad to execute hiring assignments for Tobago House of Assembly. He has also provided critical inputs to decision-making on four state boards including Trinidad and Tobago International Financial Centre Andre Phillips brings transformative leadership to many endeavours in civil society, moreso as Founder/President of PUSH Foundation, one of Tobago’s oldest developmental NGOs. The organization has benefitted from funding at local, regional and international level to execute projects that have produced cultural, educational and social benefits for residents of Tobago.
