Experience includes regulatory oversight of licensed non-depository institutions with the State of Michigan. Oversight includes performing examinations to assess the financial condition and management’s oversight and validate compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and information technology/security. The types of institutions under oversight authority include money transmitters, debt management companies, small loan lenders, sales finance/installment seller companies, and payday lenders. Several years mentoring and coaching newly hired employees. Experience assisting and collaborating with companies for their license maintenance, MSB call reports, independent reviews or consumer protection reviews, banking relationships, and compliance program policies and procedures.Knowledge of state consumer finance regulations overseen by Michigan Department of Financial and Insurance Service. Knowledge of federal regulations (e.g., Code of Federal Regulations, NACHA Operating Rules, Bank Secrecy Act , OFAC Sanctions, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act).
