A 10-week investigative project about drinking water contamination issues in colonias across the four border states. Colonias are unincorporated communities along the border that lack basic infrastructure such as piped water, sewer, paved roads and electricity. Our story was picked up by NBC News, The Arizona Republic, The Texas Tribune, The Center for Public Integrity, and other media outlets.

Center for the Future of Arizona is a nonpartisan "do tank" that focuses on education, job creation, sustainability, healthcare and citizen participation in Arizona. I wrote articles for their "Sucess Stories" sections, ranging from health care resources for the Native American community, to job opportunities for the homeless population.
