I have worked as a Respiratory Therapist in a Pediatric facility for 18 years. While at this facility I worked on the floor, Pediatric ICU, Newborn ICU, and the Emergency Department. I was a relief supervisor and the clinical coordinator for the floors. I created and maintained many protocols within the coorporations standards. I transitioned after getting my Master's Degree and did Quality Analytics for ICentra (EMR). In this role I would test changes to the EMR to make sure workflows still functioned properly. I would create and run tests of workflows with different departments including Respiratory, OT, PT, Hyperbaric, Nursing, etc.After doing that for a couple of years I took on the role of Coordinator of Clinical Education at Salt Lake Community College in the Respiratory Therapy Program. In this role I teach students the basics of Respiratory Care. I design, instruct and test classroom material in preparation of the students to get their credential. As well as my role in the classroom, I am over the clinical aspect of their education. I design and assign the student clinical placement in the hospitals and clinics. I work as a liason between the hospital sites and the college. I interact with Managers, Educators, and staff. I also work with HR to maintain student files and immunization records. Currently I have affiliates with over 20 hospital/clinic sites.I have presented at many conferences and won an award for best poster presentation and NACHRI. I have sat on many school and hospital committees. I am extremely adaptable and always willing to learn new skills.
