About Andrea Romero

Sustainability has been my passion since I decided to study Chemical Engineering. I hold +5 years of hands-on experience in Sustainability. I am an ecovadis alumni and I have been working mainly in the Transportation Industry (Automotive and Aviation). I concluded a master’s degree in Sustainable Development where I defended my thesis in environmental human rights. In my most recent role, as Sustainability Lead at IAG GBS, I have been leading the Scope 3 measurement of the Group. As IAG is delivering a package of measures to reduce its carbon footprint by 2030 and to reach net zero CO2 emissions across the full operations and supply chain by 2050, I am building the Supplier Engagement Strategy to ensure that sustainability practices are embedded in the whole value chain.My key achievements include: ISO 14001 implementation, increasing the coverage of suppliers in ecovadis and delivering a successful POC for Scope 3.
