The GNSS on-board unit, an in-vehicle device, contains hardware, firmware and a software application. Being in charge of the application, controls the road user experience as well the security and interaction with the overall system. One of the smaller teams while one with an amazing history in Kapsch and simply a bunch of excellent people who it is fun to work with. Various nation states demand different behavior and compliance of the device. Therefore excellent knowledge of the European Commissions' EETS regulation, the standards ISO 12813, ISO 17575-1,-2 and -3, ISO 12855, ISO 14906, ISO 15509 is required. The respective nation states regulations are published separately and have to interpreted in order to deliver a compliant, certified product.

Consulted ND SatCom on the usability, user experience and technical innovation of their core product: SkyWAN(R).Wrote technical specifications, requirements and created user interface prototypes. Worked with a cross functional software development team to monitor realization and evaluate the progress. Did Satellite link-budget calculations and traffic estimations to optimize the data traffic between Satellite terminal and Satellite. Performed tests to confirm the calculations.Cooperated with various departments within ND SatCom.Reported to the Head of Technology.

R&D on the investigation of the susceptibility of solar cells to electrostatic discharges in orbit.Development of a prototype which measures arcs and extracts different parameters.
