He completed his Bachelor's degree in Biomolecular Physics at the Physics Institute of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (USP), in 2012. He obtained his Master's degree in Applied Physics from the same university in 2015. In 2020, he earned his PhD in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology at the InBrain Lab, located in the Department of Physics at the University of São Paulo in Ribeirão Preto. His thesis received an Honorable Mention at the CAPES Thesis Award, which is given to the best theses in Brazil for the year.From 2020 until December of 2022, he held two postdoctoral positions, one at the Hospital of Clinics of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo, and the second at the Institute of Radiology, Medical School of the University of São Paulo.He is currently an assistant professor at the Institute of Physics, University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Since 2013, he has been working with Brain MRI acquisition and processing, specifically focusing on perfusion-weighted images using the arterial spin labeling (ASL) technique, diffusion-weighted images, functional MRI (fMRI), and T1 mapping. His primary research focus is MRI pulse programming and the non-invasive assessment of the blood-brain barrier using Arterial Spin Labeling.
