As a member of NEHES (New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society) and conference speaker at regional events around the country, I have been able to offer my broad knowledge base in controlled environment design and the proper application of laminar flow systems to the healthcare market. As a Course Instructor for both AIA and the Practicing Institute of Engineers (PIE), a committee created by NYSSPE to review continuing education, I have been able to bring to light the relationship of surgical site infections (SSIs) and proper air distribution. I have been a member of ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers) for 15 years and attend multiple Chapter events throughout the country each year.I have 25 years of experience in engineering, construction and product development for the promotion of modular architectural and mechanical air distribution systems in the life science and semiconductor industries. This includes sales and business development for HEPA filtration systems, custom air handlers, fan filter modules, modular plenums, ceiling grids, and partition wall systems in United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
