After a career in diplomacy and international affairs, I have pivoted into education. Since the Fall 2021 semester, I've been an adjunct professor at UNO, teaching the international business GLOBE course, “Globalization of Business Enterprise” BSAD 2700-820.I continue to play an active role in international affairs through local organizations in Nebraska: I’m a board member of the Omaha Sister Cities Association; a board member of the Midwest International Trade Association; and a member of the Nebraska World Affairs Council (NEWAC). In August 2020, I was appointed by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Japan's Honorary Consul in Nebraska. Previous Experience:. In FNBO's First Bankcard division, I managed risk assessments of credit card products and services to ensure compliance with consumer financial regulations.. International experience as a career U.S. diplomat with the U.S. Department of State. I managed the public affairs operations at U.S. embassies in Warsaw, Oslo, Vienna, Rome and Tokyo, promoting cultural and educational exchange and other "soft power" programs. . Press spokesman and media adviser to the ambassador and section heads at US embassies in Warsaw, Oslo, and Vienna. Managed media relations and administrative support for eight presidential trips abroad, and dozens of Cabinet and senior-level visits overseas.. Retired from the State Department after 24 years in the foreign service and relocated to Omaha, Nebraska; worked at U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, as the Command Speechwriter, drafting and shaping public communication messages for the Commander (4-star USAF) and other senior leadership..
