I was voted onto the board by the shareholder members of Office Products Depot, where I provided an experienced, unbiased, and stable voice. Upon my transfer to Australia in 2015, I continued serving on the board, including as deputy chairman for several years.

This was a very rewarding role and only ended when I transferred from New Zealand to Australia with Confoil. My key contribution was to conceptualise, develop and establish a health and readiness check (Excelerator) for both new and existing exporters, to help guide them through the maze of challenges that exporting delivers. The 179-question audit, was delivered by myself and my committee colleagues to many New Zealand businesses.
