Academically, I studied my GCSE's in Darlington, where I gained the James Barningham Scholarship for an excellent piece of work in humanities. I went on to study A-Level Mathematics, Economics and Politics at the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form in Darlington where I gained an A, B and a C. I was then accepted to study BSc Accounting and Finance at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2018. My academic studies concluded in 2022, where I was awarded a 2.1 grade. Throughout my academic experience I have contributed to multiple group seminars, which has allowed me to present my opinions articulately and concisely. I also have developed an excellent understanding of Microsoft programmes. In 2017, I undertook a summer work experience placement at PBH Rail Ltd as a financial analyst. In this role, my duties included calculating job costings, invoicing clients and providing commercial input during management meetings. As well as this, as part of my degree programme, I began an annual industrial placement at Northumbrian Water Ltd. As a part of the information and analytics team, my jobs involved the analysis of data and information and producing this information in the form of reports to the information and analytics manager of Northumbrian Water. Also, I assisted with the operational management of Kielder Reservoir (one of the biggest man-made artificial lakes and woodland in Europe). Through this role, I was able to gain an insight into the operations of a large utilities company, as well as work with staff at a local and national level. I have a range of part-time employment experience, including and most recently as a stock assistant with End Clothing Ltd, one of the biggest clothing retailers in the world. I am currently employed as a finance assistant intern at Warner Music, one of the most renowned music labels in the world today. This role has allowed me to put my academic knowledge into practice.I would love to be able to combine my academic and professional experience so in that respect, I am seeking roles ideally within a creative industry.
