Extolled by The Baltimore Sun for his “robust work” and DC Metro Theater Arts for “a heart-stopping, high voltage bass-baritone voice,” Andrew Thomas Pardini continues to win audiences with his vibrant tone and thrilling character portrayals. Pardini is thrilled to be a part of OperaDelaware’s 2017-18 Season, where he will make his company and role debuts as Albert / ‘Werther.’ This past summer, Pardini was a part of the 2017 Opera Maine Studio Artist Program, where he made his company and role debuts as Marchese d’Obigny / ‘La traviata,’ and FBI Agent / ‘An American Dream,’ in addition to performing a recital in collaboration with the Portland Museum of Art, inspired by highlights from its collection. Pardini recently made his company and role debuts with The Atlanta Opera as William Dale / ‘Silent Night,’ Un Notaro / ‘Don Pasquale,’ and Dandini / ‘La Cenerentola,’ in addition to serving as Studio Baritone as part of its inaugural 2016-17 Studio Artist Program. Favorite past roles include Figaro / ‘Le nozze di Figaro,’ Don Giovanni & Leporello / ‘Don Giovanni,’ Marcello & Schaunard / ‘La bohème,’ Papageno / ‘Die Zauberflöte’, Gianni Schicchi / ‘Gianni Schicchi,’ Marullo / ‘Rigoletto,’ and Samuel / ‘Un ballo in maschera.’ Upcoming engagements include Bass Soloist / ‘Messiah’ at Bach In Baltimore, and company and role debuts as Zurga / ‘Les pêcheurs de perles’ at Winter Opera Saint Louis. Pardini holds a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland – Maryland Opera Studio, under the tutelage of Dominic Cossa and François Loup, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Southern California – Thornton School of Music, studying with Gary Glaze.
