During the 2017-2018 school year, I was a teaching assistant for the Multidisciplinary Engineering Laboratory II (MEL II). During this class a helped students in labs which involve both solid and fluid mechanics and utilize LabVIEW for data acquisition. I also graded the students' weekly lab reports.During the fall 2018 semester, I am working as a teaching assistant for a new class at Colorado School of Mines called, Mechanical Engineering Instrumentation. I help students create LabVIEW code, analyze data and work with various sensors.

During the summer of 2019, I worked with Syncroness on the DFMA of an industrial quadcopter. My responsibility was to redesign the battery subsystem while maintaining current functionality. I learned and utilized injection molding, sheet metal, and fastener design principles to reach a highly detailed model. After I reached my detailed design I completed initial FEA simulations. I also successfully presented my design in a technical review to the client.

At Pioneer Astronautics I worked on a Phase I NASA SBIR contract called the Advanced Organic Waste Gasifier (AOWG) in which waste from astronauts could be converted to clean gas and water. I explored and designed multiple concepts for conveying waste through the system in microgravity. Alongside working on the AOWG, I also helped build, test and optimize a parabolic solar trough concentrator. The concentrator successfully increased the power output of the solar panels after multiple iterations that adjusted the parabolic shape, reflective material, and electric load.

I led and helped with various production or product design projects. I gained an elevated understanding of strain gauges through multiple iterations of strain response optimization. Many projects utilize SolidWorks, manual mills, lathes and machine shop equipment.
