As suppliers development specialist I was responsible for the categories of: welding; fastaners; piston pins; foundry suppliers; copper tubes and connectors; sintered materials spot projects (support for the category).For each category coordinate projects aligned with companie commercial strategy, reduction cost projects and engineering project for new platforms and product/process improvements.

As Suppliers Quality Specialist I was responsible for the categories of stamped parts, valves, springs and clamps, fastaners, sintered components, magnets and welding. For each of these categories I´ve perfomred product audits, dealt with the characterization of the quality issues and communication with supplier, did the management of quality indicators and planned actions for improvements with the suppliers that were not delivering the quality levels expected.

As procurement intern I´ve worked on activities mainly focued on the suppliers development front. Supported on the development process for sintered materials, machinning, pins, stamped parts and fastaners categories, planing certifications tests plans, negotiating labs resources and elaborating certification documentations. Also had the opportunity to coordinate reduction cost projects in the fastaners category.Worked as well with the suppliers quality management front as a side activity, mainly participating on the characterizitation of quality issues that were suspected to be on the material, directing them accordingly with the investigation results and following the standard flow through suppliers quality management system (SQM) to dealt with the issues and solve them within the target deadline, togheter with the supplier.

Participated of mechanical engineers students collegiate meeting togheter with the department teachers to vote and define the possible changes in the course classes grid, as a result we were able to optimize the course grid for the classes of students to come.Also participated in the organization of integration events for the course students and technical visitation trips to local companies (Santa Catarina and near region) and to companies and institutions in sotheast region as well (Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo mainly).

The research perfomed had as main objective the elaboration and characterization of nanocomposite biomaterials based on calcium phosphate. The first half of the reserach was mainly focused on the elaboration method adjustments, the following six months were mainly focused on the characterization of the materials produced through FTIR analysis, X-ray diffractometry and also MEV analysis. The material produced and evaluate would be used for bone recomposition tests in vivo, this step was carried out for another student after I´ve finished my scholarship.
