Head Professional & Director Of Andy Barton Golf Academy
As Head Professional I have been in charge of a small team chosen by myself. The professional shop is the first point of contact for members, visitors and corporate companies so it is imperative that the customer service is of a very high standard. During my time at Ingon Manor I have helped increase the membership by on average 6 new members a month. I have also improved the turnover of visitors and societies, by restructuring the pricing plan and seeking new opportunities with innovative ideas. Running alongside my role within the club I have also been running the club shop with a turnover of about £80,000 per annum. The “Andy Barton Golf Academy” was set up when I started at Ingon Manor. During this time I have increased my coaching from zero to an average of 50 – 60 lessons per week. The large majority of these lessons have been people who are not members of Ingon Manor. This has been done with an effective marketing campaign. Many of these new customers to my Academy have then been converted to new members, people paying green fees or even having a corporate golf day.
