Project and Account Manager for a range of European airlines providing a single point of contact for both customer and lessor representatives during aircraft transitions. I have overall responsibility and oversight for the build and audit of aircraft records to establish compliance with lease return and sale conditions. Using my technical experience, and with access to the operators M&E systems, I also provide a focal point for all technical and regulatory queries related to the transition process and provide support to both customers and third parties in the use of the FLYdocs platform. During the last year I have successfully managed 9 on-time lease returns/sales whilst working on site with the customer at MRO facilities in Europe and the Middle East.

Working with a leading aircraft leasing and finance organization carrying out technical records audits and physical surveys for a managed fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The primary responsibility is verifying compliance with lease terms and preparing reports for presentation to the owners. Records auditing includes the verification of AD/ASB/AOT compliance, reviews of LLP/OCCM status and scrutiny of AMP/MPD scheduling and content with the CAMO.Physical surveys carried out to monitor aircraft condition, configuration and compliance with approved data relating to repairs and damage limits. Physical verification of SB/EO/STC embodiment and assessment of general aircraft condition. Production of written and photographic content for inclusion in the lessor’s report and follow up actions for the lessee. A thorough understanding of multi-agency airworthiness legislation and OEM interfaces such as My Boeing Fleet and Airbus World is needed to produce accurate data whilst meeting required deadlines.

In this role I managed Bombardier’s Mobile Response Team for the business aircraft division. I was based at the Regional Support Office at Farnborough Airport and reported directly to the customer support leadership team in Montreal. The MRT consists of a team of EASA B1/B2 licenced engineers based in the UK, Germany and Hong Kong.The teams primary function is AOG recovery for Bombardier’s customers worldwide, but also provides flight following, entry into service support and engineering provision at major events such as the Olympics and World Cup. I had a leading role in the integration of a newly acquired line maintenance organisation into the wider customer support structure. As team manager I had budgetary responsibility for several cost centres totaling approximately $6,500,000. I provided strategic and managerial oversight and liaison between the Part 145 organisation in Belfast and head office in Montreal. In addition to this role I also had financial and contractual oversight of 3 unscheduled maintenance teams (UMTs) located in Moscow, Nice and London providing line maintenance support for our largest fleet customer. Early in my tenure I successfully implemented a major initiative to enable the MRT to offer a parts supply and handling capability which removed a significant logistical burden from our customers and was very positively received.I achieved significant increases in revenue for the MRT and considerable reductions in outgoings for all my cost centres whilst maintaining world class quality standards and high workforce morale. As well as financial and operational management I also ensured that the team held the highest standards of technical training and ability as befitting an OEM, and were fully up to date with all emerging technological advances within the company’s product range. Both myself and the team held excellent customer facing skills and were used to dealing with high pressure situations.

Responsible for all production activities at ATC’s main base encompassing scheduled maintenance, repair and overhaul activities. I managed a team of approximately 150 permanent and up to 60 contract employees including Licensed Engineers, Mechanics and specialized back shop staff. I was responsible for recruitment, selection and discipline of all permanent and contract staff within the Production Department, managing competence assessment requirements and performance monitoring. I was tasked with maintaining adequate manpower levels within the department with a dynamic and fluctuating workload whilst ensuring that costs were kept to a minimum. I was in constant liaison with other departments and developed good working relationships with all customers ranging from large scheduled airlines, major leasing companies and VVIP operators. I was integral in the introduction of EASA part M activities to the company and had a similar role working closely with the technical management and quality teams in gaining EASA part 21G approval. I was regularly involved with return to/from lease activities coordinating engine and airframe releases and tech records audits to facilitate onward lease placements. In addition to base maintenance activities I was regularly responsible for organizing away from base working parties supporting both airline and VIP operators with AOG and structural repair requirements. I also chaired the daily production meeting with all department heads and senior management in attendance.

This was a new role created to assist the existing Production Manager with an expanding workload. Primarily I was tasked with managing all the workshop areas including composites, paint, sheet metal and machine shops. I was responsible for the management and administration of all competence assessment requirements for the production department. In addition to these specific roles I would often cover some of the production manager’s duties to ease his workload. During this period, I would often deputise for crew chiefs and manage aircraft maintenance inputs and AOG or ad hoc work. At the request of the General Manager I was actively involved in several working groups looking at efficiency and strategy within the production and commercial departments.

Primarily responsible for the day to day management of aircraft on heavy maintenance checks, all associated staff and facilities within a hangar environment. Carrying out regular progress meetings with both customers and ATC’s commercial teams and keeping track of man-hour budgets to ensure commercially successful checks. Regular liaison with quality and purchasing teams to ensure regulatory compliance and prioritization of spares requirements. Keeping an overview on health and safety compliance within the hangar I maintained a level of zero significant accidents or injuries during my jurisdiction. Whilst in this position I managed several different teams over a variety of bays conducting maintenance, AOG repairs and significant structural modifications on all of ATC’s largest client’s fleets both at our base facilities and in the field. Whilst in this position I deputised for the Production Manager on several occasions during his absence.

Primarily acting as a licensed technician on a wide variety of maintenance repair and modification programmes on all company supported types. When required acting as Crew Chief in his absence with all associated responsibilities and duties whilst simultaneously acting as a Licensed Technician. I was seconded for several months to a new facility to run a maintenance check with new staff. I was also regularly on secondment to a customer airline accompanying their 757s on scheduled routes and Ad Hoc charters providing down route engineering support.

Carrying out heavy maintenance checks on all company supported types. Regularly taking part in heavy modification programmes and repairs including AOG and away from base support for key customers on tight deadlines. Troubleshooting incoming and arising defects and managing a team of Mechanics to achieve high quality work within the required time frame. Approved to carry out high power engine runs on all supported types.

Airframe/engine Mechanic working in all hangars on all company supported types, I was selected to be part of several modification teams on large STC projects including 727 re -engining programmes, winglet and pylon modifications on the 757, 737 and 727. In July 1999 I was promoted to Lead Mechanic and started to perform more supervisory roles whilst still carrying out mechanical and structural base maintenance tasks.

Heavy maintenance on VC10 Aircraft including manufacture of Structural elements and Skin replacements, 3 year contract.· Dornier, Munich. Ongoing contract with Westland Aerospace carrying out warranty work on the Dornier 228 / 328.· Malaysian Airlines. Kuala Lumpur. D Checks and Section 41 modifications on the 747-400· Lufthansa, Hamburg. Section 41 modifications on the 747-400· BMI, Heathrow. C Checks on 737-400.· FLS Aerospace, Stansted. Heavy maintenance on United and BA 747-200s, United 727s and numerous other customers.· FLS Aerospace, Lasham. Heavy maintenance on the 737 Classic and 727 / DC8.

I was responsible for establishing new business and managing existing accounts within a sales team for the world’s largest Mailroom equipment manufacturers, covering the areas of West Central London and the City. Many of my clients were large corporations and I would often have to pitch at Boardroom level for substantial deals. I was required to meet a minimum monthly sales quota which I achieved starting from my first month. I left this position due to relocation to the Midlands following reorganization within my Wife’s company.

· Carried out a Four year Apprenticeship working within various departments at the facility. I gained extensive experience of Structural fitting and Sheet metal work including Wheeling and fitting of Fuselage skins, assembly of Canopies and damage repairs on Hawk and Harrier A/C. I was also involved with Detail and Sub Assembly work on A300 and A320 series A/C and was closely involved with building the prototype Canopies for the EFA . During my Apprenticeship I carried out an initial year of Broad based Training which gave me experience of Machine shop skills and Welding / Brazing.
