working with ABB and now NKT principle contractor to SSE providing new HVDC link from Moray to Caithness and Shetland involving installation of sub sea and over land cables,HDD and landfall works.

• I was employed with Bilfinger as a section foreman and progressed onto a general foreman. Due to the nature of the job I would consider the role to be more that of a works manager managing full package to low tech and labor only sub-contractors .Monitoring Quality safety and environmental issues. I also managed our own workforce. Planning daily and weekly tasks. Creating and performing to programs. Forecasting and reporting operational costs to the commercial department. Completing site diaries and ensuring contemporary site records are kept. Carrying out SHE inspections and implementing any necessary changes to ensure safe working methods are adhered to. Supervision and verifying various subcontractor inspections and tests. Foreman: Greenfield 6km section of new motorway.
