My responsibilities at Thirsty Horses break down into two distinct but heavily linked remits... In both of these, I work with clients to scope needs and plan appropriate support that I and/or one/a team of our consultants can deliver to create sustainable and measurable improvements – in most cases a high performance culture. If it’s not me that’s delivering (consultancy, training, coaching), then I take on a quality assurance role – ensuring the work that we do, and the advice we give, is worthy of the Thirsty Horses name.OD Consultancy and SupportThis is our meat and drink – organisations come to us with either a specified problem for us to explore/challenge and address, or when they know something isn’t quite right but don’t know what it is or what to do about it! OD Consultancy and Support to complement Thirsty Horses’ OD platform – WorkPAL:This half of my job is aimed at complementing WorkPAL – from pre-implementation right through to post-implementation... Pre-implementation: That’s everything from establishing Organisational Readiness (eg diagnosing an organisation’s readiness, willingness and capacity to adopt change – as well as what can be done to ‘get ready’), to producing organisational values and behaviours and designing and delivering engagement and communication strategies and events Implementation: Supporting staff and managers with the cultural change that often comes with a real focus on creating a high performance culture (eg coaching and training and giving and getting feedback), more help around communications, and the identification of emerging trends and patterns Post-implementation: Once WorkPAL is implemented and collecting real workforce data I sit down with clients to help them understand what they’re seeing in the statistics, and what they could be doing both proactively and reactively to drive improvement
