-The first 10 years were in engineering management only. Optical LAN design is my primary function now.-Mechanical design using CREO and Windchill; designs vary from high volume plastics to electronic card cages. Chaired design teams in Europe and Asia. Assisted manufacturing in Asia, Mexico, and the USA.-Mechanical thermal analysis using Flotherm and solar simulation testing. Designs include indoor and outdoor electronic enclosures. Also EMI analysis.-Established executive goal of growing the organization from 30 engineers/technicians and 1 manager to 80+ engineers and 3 managers to support mechanical (CREO and Flotherm), power supplies, and electrical configurations engineering. As well CAD (Mentor), tools support, and Doc Ctrl (Agile). -Designed PCBAs, NEBS card cage assemblies, and enclosures (widely deployed in AT&T) for electronic assemblies. Also created analysis programs and setup compliance testing for these designs. Worked with the factories to produce them and the customer to introduce them.-Patent committee chairman-financial and management responsibilities.
