- Senior United States Marine assigned to 1st Naval Construction Group, the lead SEABEE unit on the west coast. - Advised the Commander on all matters pertaining to defensive tactics, military training, and the employment of Naval Construction Forces during military operations.- During combat operations in Afghanistan, provided cross-functional staff oversight to assigned combat effects battalions, and served as LNO to ISAF Joint Command (IJC) Engineer Cell.- Extensive knowledge in the use of the Military Decision Making Process; the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP), and its use at the Platoon, Company, Battalion, Brigade, and Corps levels.

1St Battalion, 7Th Marines

- Led, guided, and mentored the officers of the battalion staff in the daily performance of their duties.- Drove all staff planning, and ensured staff section support of operations during both training and operations.- Led the battalion and associated Marine Corps personnel in the Republic of the Philippines during bilateral training exercises and a disaster-relief operation.- As the Maritime Raid Force Commander, led the Force Reconnaissance and Security Platoons during direct action raids and vessel board search and seizure missions.

- Conducted training and assessment of Infantry Battalions in the conduct of combined arms training at the platoon, company, and battlion level.- Served as the senior controller for company and battlion reinforced live-fire attacks that incorporate the use of direct fires, mortars, artillery, and fixed and rotary wing attack platforms.

- Commanded a reinforced infantry company during combat operations in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06.2 from July 2005 - March 2007. - Conducted stabilization and security operations in Fallujah, Ameriyah, and Ferris Town Iraq, to include the training of newly-formed Iraqi Security Forces (ISF).- Led a reinforced company task-force of 240 Marines with attached Amphibious Amphibious Vehicles (AAVs), Tanks, and Combat Engineers in an area of operations (AO) of over 400 square miles.- Worked with the local leaders to stand up a town government, and assisted in securing much-needed completion of public-works projects to the local infrastructure.
