The main responsibility in this role is to use my knowledge and expertise in tennis markets to maximise profits and reduce liabilities for the company. I am responsible for the prices of multiple markets across up to 4 in-play tennis matches at any one time and monitoring the money being wagered on those markets to ensure success over a long term period. It is important that I adjust my position within the marketplace to attract the right type of business from the clients and also adapt to the different situations within a match i.e. a change of momentum. In addition to my trading duties I have also undergone training on client management so that I am able to identify key customers and whether or not they may be profitable for William Hill, or conversely whether they may be a threat to the long term profitability of the company.

After being appointed as a mathematics teacher I soon showed that I was dedicated to improving my practice as a teacher and improving my students' skills. My results were excellent throughout my time at the school and I often volunteered to attend and organise school trips and school events, including running the Duke of Edinburgh programme. I also developed an excellent reputation for presenting in front of members of staff at meeting.

My first year as a mathematics teacher was challenging but allowed me to develop the behaviour management strategies that I since used inside and outside the classroom to deal with people in a calm, friendly but sincere manner. I developed excellent working relationships with colleagues, parents and students in my time at the school and it was a difficult decision to leave this post.

This role particularly highlighted my interpersonal communication skills as I was guiding tourists and dignitaries around the factory, explaining the process of creating beautiful crystal ornaments from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed the job and delighted in telling stories and entertaining as well as informing people. I left the post to train to be a teacher in England.

My role varied between duties in the stockroom, such as checking deliveries, controlling stock and keeping a neat, safe and hygienic work space, balanced with customer service and checkout duties. This meant I had cash handling and float control experience and there were many occasions where I had to handle customer queries face-to-face.

Portugal And France

Delivering activities to children from the age of 3-18, and also families and adults has proved to myself that I have confidence in dealing with people and being able to entertain and instruct a the same time. I worked within a holiday village setting on the Algarve and on a busy campsite in Dol-de-Bretagne, Brittany. My timekeeping, planning and social skills were of vital importance in this role.
