During my time at Dynamo Games I have worked on a number of projects both in-house and for external clients and publishers. The majority of my time has been spent developing games for iOS but I have also worked with other platforms such as J2ME, Android and HTML5.Responsibilities: Managing a team of up to five members, and reporting to the Studio Head. Delegating development tasks to team members. Supervising and training junior developers in their roles. Negotiating technical requirements with clients. Accurately estimating development timescales. Delivering builds on-time and within budget. Developing and implementing working processes and guidelines. Involvement in creating pitches to secure new business. Working with the Art Team to develop the UI of products. Development of a cross platform 2D game engine in C++. Intended platforms included iOS, Android, Mac OS and windows. Designing high level code architecture for projects including the 2D engine. Creating and distributing development and build reports. Carrying out code reviews. Creating in-house development tools for Windows and OSX. Managing Subversion repositories for projects. Designing and developing games for different platforms.

During my time at NCR I worked on the APTRA Advance NDC product. Advance NDC is a very large Windows based ATM application which will run across multiple vendors’ hardware. The majority of the application was written in C++, although some of the more recent components were written in Visual Basic and C#.Responsibilities: Investigating and debugging other people’s code to fix issues raised on any version of the product. Developing service packs for the mail product by merging previously fixed issues into the service pack using source integrity software. Writing test specifications for all functionality changes made to the product. Implementing development requirements for major point releases. Documenting changes by updating the product’s functional and test specification.
