• Primary point of contact between TRC Group and government bodies across the net zero innovation portfolio: DESNZ (BEIS); Innovate UK; Carbon Trust/Jacobs for all stages of the innovation project process, from proposal submission to project end; case studies and KPI monitoring & reporting. • Ensuring comprehensive contract negotiations with UK funding bodies are completed positively and professionally and project monitoring and governance is in place and effective in order to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. • Responsible for budget and relationship management for TRC Group and project partners with Government departments for grant funded projects. Monitoring costs and ensuring maximum impact is obtained for the budget available, while looking for opportunities to add value for all stakeholders. • Responsible for relationship management and liaison with collaborators and clients at senior management level, from first contact to successful collaboration and beyond. • Working closely with internal cross-functional Science and Engineering teams as well as collaboration partners, grant funding bodies and subcontractors in order to ensure that project plans are realistic and achievable – identifying risks and likely mitigation factors as well as putting the monitoring framework into place.• Developing and implementing market entry, product roadmapping, minimum viable product analysis, budgeting and marketing strategies for new hardware and software products, including: Soniplas – Ultrasonic flow enhancement for plastic injection moulding • Developing internal & external writing team members from a scientific/academic background in the commercial aspects of business strategy, market drivers and competition awareness, resulting in enhanced team performance and effective succession planning • Measuring success against KPI targets and recognising learning and development opportunities – following through into action plans and monitoring.
